dodger well done Matt, looks good and simple to change, how do you de pressurise the system just for the benifit of others i.e remove the black which can be found where????? and then what do you do????

Matt lol, no worries mate. I've just done the spark plug as well, so just the oil change to do on Wednesday with the help of Si, and thats it serviced for another year. Neil, don't suppose you know how often the fuel filters should be changed do you?
vocky fuel filters should be changed every 40k 🙂 they recommend 80k on the vx220, but I changed mine at 38k 🙂
Matt Mine is 5 year old and just done 70k, and was the original filter! I've been out for a drive this evening, and there is a definate difference to how the car drives.
Andy_Coupe Nice one Matt, i got a face full of fuel when i did this on my 2.2, the pressure valve faced upright
Matt lol, on the 1.6 as you can see it's horizontal, so just pisses petrol all over the fuse case! I was suprised at just how much came out of the fuel lines and the old filter, it ran all the way up my arm. I can still smell the petrol now.

chrisjw When I used to do it on my old Cav I used to just release the clamps on the fuel filter and drop the fuel straight into the tray. Didn't bother de-pressurising the system...
