Fitted my TB and removed my egr pipe

As above i'v removed my egr pipe and fitted my TB wich I have ported and polished and i'm glad I have, It has made a big differance to throttle responce 8)

I'v also found a different way to block off the egr hole in the head. Easy really I cut the flange off the egr valve pipe and made a tin gasket and sanwiched it between the old flange and head. I done it this way as the astra engine cover clips on a bracket which bolts to the egr flange notsure.gif
i'll post up some picks once my cammera battery is charged.

not sure on actual gains, but the throttle response is much better 8)

I don't know of any company which offers a ported throttle body for the z22se, but a few have done their own and a few have asked the technical mod to sort theirs :lol:

Don't even think of spending that get a secondhand TB off ebay and try it yourself.
i'll get some pics up tommoro with what i used and what I did. With that and vockys info should be easy for you to do one!

I have a full machine shop plus a lot more but ended up using what 90% of all households have and a flap wheel. Three inc something to hold the butterfly open.

You wouldnt machine this in, hand tools.

i done my own with die grinder ,its not to bad but did nick the butterfly area...

Thats why i didnt use a die grinder 😃 Or any high speed attachment inc them carbide burrs.
The flap wheel 60mm dia 120grit? when used for 14 years has worn and blends in nicely. Dont want a round hole.

I can just see people getting their Dremmels out and taking a week to do it.
Filing it out is another way, not as bad as it sounds if your good with your hands.

Its a soft aluminium.
