Rear brakes ?

Hello all !!!

Went to fit my new discs and pads today, done the one wheel no problems but the second wheel, not sure what id done but as i pulled the disc of i pulled the two little springs and cups off !!! What a job to get them back on !!!! (stupid i know)

Ive left it for the morning !!

Anyone have any idea how to get these on easily ??

I have heard that the rears are pigs.

Yer its so annoying !!! The last thing you do, in this case the last wheel always goes wrong, my fault for being rough when pulling the disc off. I was stressed cos i was in a rush and the hand brake shoes were still sticking even after completely slacking off the handbrake !!! I think i will try and compress the springs with cable ties, put them on, then cut the ties off !! Or i could buy another pair of hands ? If not ill have to get someone with a long pair of needle-nosed pliers to twist the clip while i compress the spring !!!!

with the rear brakes you need to slacken off the handbrake cable [under the trim below the handbrake lever] and slacken off the adjusters on both wheels

the springs are quite easy, just make sure you refit them correctly 🙂

Cheers vocky, its all done now and its good. When i braked heavy before there was a pulsating/banging noise coming from the back !! Now its gone !!!
