Standard Brake disc

What size are the standard brake discs on a Vectra 2.2 (CDX)?

I know I need pads with sensors on mine, guess I'll have to go to the stealers for those ....

Got my first blip on the computer for Brake Pads, knew they were low .....

Also, do you need to do anything special because of the sensors?

Have a look on e-bay for the discs and pads. There are some shops on there which are Vauxhall dealers selling stuff at just over trade price. Thats where I get a lot of my stuff from.

Went to Vauxhall this morning, got the kit and the new sensor (which I broke trying to put it on, so I'll use the old one until I can get a new one dunno.. ). All done now, very proud of myself because I'm not the most mechanincally minded. Just need to let them bed in now.

Discs were well worn, took a bit to slip the calipers off over the lip created by the wear. Figured it out eventually, had to smack the old disc with a heavy hammer as they were stuck fast. That shifted them.

Getting through all the jobs on my car, absolutely loving it, still getting earache off the missus. You've just bought the car and these jobs need doing ..... Even when I explained they were consumables and just unlucky they just won't listen.

As you can see from the picture, there was still some 'meat' left on the old pad, apart from the fact the disc was so worn that the edge of the disc caused it to wear more on the top of the pad, just where the wear indicator sits. Consequently showing the check light on the MID earlier than might have been necessary.

Not too bothered though, have brand new discs and pads on the car and once bedded in, I can feel safe again!

Yer, i badly need to replace my back rear pads. Picked up a bargain on ebay last week, to brand new rear discs and four rear pads for the price of £20 plus £15 postage !!! £35 in total. Very pleased!!!

Can anyone answer this ? My rear brake set-up does look very worn, when you brake lightly to moderatley, the brakes are fine, any heavier than that and a vibrating type of bang appears from thge rear ? Im putting it down to the discs and pads in des[perate need for replacement ?

Wow that is cheap, I paid £90 for a kit for the front and new sensor, the sensor was £11 on it's own.

90 quid from vauxhall for genuine discs and pads thats a good price.
my work mate who is a ex vx mechanic said vx gear is dearer but they will outlast replacement products.

ive just fitted ate discs and mintex pads ill show some pics in another thread.
