Jamee Well since i blanked off the FPR my car feels quicker low down, and seems better on fuel, wont know for sure until i have emptied the tankful i have tho.
Europa_Blue_SE1 I'm the same Jamee it seems to have made her quicker off the mark and as you said the fuel consumption seems better also good mod!!!
Jamee Still not as quick as she used to be tho, ive lost stacks of power since fitting it, personally i think the 2.4 mani is a pile of pants, hopefully piper cams, sports cat and remap will bring it all back and more.
richard how have you guys blanked off the fpr? have you removed the fpr pipe completely then? im still waiting for my 2.4 manifold so i quess you dont need to remove fpr till then?
Jamee Here it is... Iff u pul the pipe arrowed off alan, fold the white rubber bit over and tape/cable tie it shut, u will then have the end of the fpr open to atomosphere.
markv Oh, and don't forget that it takes the ECU at least 300 miles to get some good changes into the "permanent" fuel trim table. And that is when you help it by driving in the various rev ranges with varied throttle.. Mark
poormansporsche ive tried this several ways, pipe connected (not bad) - pipe open to the atmosphere (lumpy as hell) and my personal favorite - pipe completely blocked with a screw which seemed to make my lumpy cammed car actually run a bit better !

You should block the pipe to the manifold otherwise it would run lumpy due to the air leak.
Europa_Blue_SE1 Neil do you mean the fuel rail mate just I have only blanked of the air intake and left the fuel rail open so I take it that needs blocked and if so how mate I have took the whole pipiing off??? Thanks mate. Alan
vocky you only need to blank either the inlet manifold or intake pipe, the fpr (on the end of the fuel rail) should be left open.

Thanks mate. Alan Sure you have it by now as vocky says just need to blank the inlet
Europa_Blue_SE1 Thanks vocky and Neil mate yea that's what I have allready done it's the 2.4 inlet that's on now so don't need to blank that. Got one of the nipples from my O/E inlet on the 2.2 air intake so I take it that's me done then just need to drill this hole in the airbox... cheers.. guys Alan

Europa_Blue_SE1 Aw come on Nei SE2 I'm not that clued up about engines but I'm not gonna drill a hole on the top (outlet part)a bit pointless that and no doubt would be detrimentle notsure.gif (big word eh feeling brainy today)lol not sure about the spelling though!!! Na thanks mate for the warning but I know just not sure what to use for a cold air feed just you'll know youself the lack of space at the radiator... dunno..
Kanary I try to anderstand this intersting post for a long time. So what is the mod to do notsure.gif Leave as original Or fitting the fuel pressure regulator pipe on the brake valve dunno..
vocky for a 2.2 inlet manifold this mod seems to work dunno.. for a 2.4 inlet manifold this mod seems to hinder power dunno..
