Vec C pipe or Astra VXR Pipe

Right before i pop down to my local stealer and myself a vec C pipe i have been told that the VXR pipe is about the same size but is a better fitment.

Not 100% about this, also the VRX pipe is about £7 more.

Anyone shed any light on this before i purchase

I have had both,

The VXR pipe is roughly the same size, but the vec c is bigger!

I tried (and failed) to fit it too my astra, too many things needed to be moved out radiator etc.

Was it that hard?

I have heard mixed reports some say it is easy others say it's a nightmare. what needs to be removed headlight / loosen the rad??.

My mate tried mine a year or so ago and failed but i was not present when he did it so wasnt sure how hard it was.

Would like to do it as i have heard it does help, but unsure how much or if it is worth it for all the hassle to get the old one removed and vec c one in .

There has been talk of this on AOC Si, and the Vec C pipe was apparently the better of the 2.

Right fair doo's Vec C it is, talked to Blue SE this aft and he has gave me good some pointers on how to remove the old pipe, so it's all good to go.

Fit the vec c pipe to mine and it was bit of a nightmare to fit, then the flex link kept poppeing off air box!!! Then after a few months i noticed that it was such a tight sqeeze it had pushed the coolant hose on to the alternator bolt rubbing it nearly through!!!!!!!!!! :shock: so i removed it and replaced the coolant pipe, i have fit a flexi cold air feed pipe from a K&N kit i had spare to the air box instead !!! So check ya coolant pipe for rubbing !!! 🙁

Sorry Matt not yet, went to one dealer but they did not have a parts dept, Been a bit busy to get to another which has, will get it done tomorrow / thursday.
