Yep cam chain worries are no longer an issue.
I contacted Benny after Total Vauxhall told me to come to this site and seek him out after an email I had sent them regarding my cam chain.
Sent him a pm and I'm booked in for two weeks later.
Drove up to Benny's this Saturday for nine o'clock, watched a master at work and a couple of hours later I was on my way home all happy and no longer paranoid. Top Job by a top bloke, all under taken during question time from me...lol
Got to say though the mornings drive was the worst drive I have ever experienced!!! All the way up I was like 'What’s that noise??, Is that smell normal??, What if it goes now??? ARRRGGHHH!!!' but as I say made it no worries, and Benny sorted it.
Whilst Benny was doing my car we found blue dots on casings and yellow dots on tensioners with cut outs etc to suggest my car had been part of a recall and should not be affected by the cam issue, but…low and behold, I had the old type lube nozzle!!! :shock:
A word of warning to all...If you think your ok your probably not so get it checked out, I saw the difference between the affected nozzle and the revised one and there is a huge difference.
