Taken from the Total Vauxhall Magazine for February 2006
Vauxhall Vectra Sri
Owner: S.L
Engine: Remus centre section pipe and Magnex back box.
Claimed: 120-ish bhp
Actual: 139 bhp at 5250 rpm
Operator: It feels flat, noticeably different from the Astra 2.2. It doesn't want to rev at all.
Reaction: All right. I didn't know what to expect, so...
Vauxhall Astra Coupe
Owner: R.M
Engine: K&N pannel filter, Vectra intake pipe, derestricted airbox.
Claimed: 145 bhp
Actual: 153 bhp at 5000 rpm
Operator: Revved fine up to 4000 rpm, but seemed strangled after that.
Reaction: Well pleased with that, I've only had the car four weeks. It's more than standard, so it'll do me.
