Vocky lol i love your petrol head enthusiasm 😃
The chain is not snapped and the exhaust valves/followers are all fine. Only the intake followers are smashed. I have no idea if the valves are bent or not.
Everything looks fine from the top, it looks like i could just fit new followers and hey presto it would be fine but if the piston hit the valve hard enough to smash the followers then i have no doubt the valves are FUBAR'd.
How hard is it to change valves??
The chain is slack by the way so i take it the tensioner is what has failed thus allowing the slip of the intake cam sprocket.
It just seems like such a big job removing the aux belt and associated components just to remove the engine housing to gain access to the guide rail.
I would be up for fixing it for him but so far i'm doing it mates rates (free) and the wife is starting to get a bit racked off with it so i think i'll have to say if he wants me to repair it then he has to pay me. But then i may not even be able to fix it just by changing valves and followers.
