Isn't it bloody clever?!?
Since i bought the coupe ive had a strange noise from the alternator, thought nothing of it, just belt noise i put it down to. Well anyway, today drove a fair old distance pulled up had an ice cream. The whole purpose of the journey was to get the puppy used to car travel. Started up to leave and no power steering dunno.. Switched off, switched on and no battery light, so i smack the dash a bit and whack the dash, nothing. Its worked previous as the multi-plug to the cluster was buggered (still buggered), but i sorted it last week, i noticed my airbag light and petrol gauge working perfect when before they were the ones that stopped working. So i carried on in the hope the battery would carry me home with everything switched off, then power steering began working again, result, then stopped shortly after, radio switched off then came back on and all the dash stopped working. Switched all the electrics off and carried on. Then things got touch and go when i was on the M-way and put an indicator on and the engine died and came back to life with the indicator. Soon after inspection light came on and so did eml, well thanks for joining the party, thanks for telling me theres something wrong, like i already didnt know. Then M27 i died totally. Great fun.
Ive put it down to the alternator, and luckily enough i still have a month and a halfs worth of warranty on the car showo..
