Ian Is it just mine that doesnt play the damn things?? Or are they just not cdr compatible the standard units :?
vocky I had this trouble with the vecs cdr500, I stripped it down and adjusted the laser distance, works great now 😃

vocky you need to remove the cd player unit from inside the cdr500 and there's a small potentiometer on the side of the removed section, I turned the pot a small fraction clockwise - luckily I guessed the right way 😃 not too hard to do 🙂

Are there any mods which can be done to them to resolve the problem? ... and if so, does anyone have a how2?
telboy2004 CDR,s Try to use CDR,s with a thicker coating, this prevents lazer penetration and stops skipping. I find the printable ones work in my in dash 4 changer unit.
