Europa_Blue_SE1 I just done a service on the Astra done it myself this time as I don't see any point in paying someone to do what I can do myself just to get a stamp on my service book with the car being a 70k 2001! Vocky I have to give you your dues mate I was going to buy the NGK Iridiums again but read in a couple of posts you had wrote that the z22se likes the GM triple electrodes which only cost me £2.21 for the 4(the guy was brand new and put it through as trade) and yep I have to agree no difference from the NGKs(£40) put just under 5 litre of Shell Helix Fully Synth in which cost the most money out of the whole service £50 odd for 4 litre then £17 for a litre  all parts from VXL cost £8 oil filter, sparkplugs and sump o-ring 😃 My question is I have done this work what else except the cam chain which is getting done in a couple of weeks or sooner if I can get booked in... But what else should I replace mibbe the pollen filter and brake and clutch fluid the service 10k ago I had fully synth gear box oil and also power steering fluid changed so I take it this shouldn't need changed yet??? the anti freeze was topped up also and looks fine...Oh yea and I have de-restricted the airbox and put a K&N panel filter in just before the PV show so it's ok... Thanks for taking the time to read this post!!! cheers.. Any and all replies will be greatly appreciated guys... cheers.. Alan
vocky pretty much covered it all, but change the fuel filter if it's not recent 🙂 I gave my vec a service today, oil + filter and not much else needed doing  it's only done 10k in the five years since I bought it
Europa_Blue_SE1 Thanks vocky mate so just a new fuel filter don't know when it was last changed not been done since I've had her so I'll do it mibbe 2morro is it hard to get to mate? where abouts is it? Thanks vocky...
markdayton If you need to get the cam chain changed then I can recommend Benny for the job. 😃 You may already have this planned but thought I would mention it just in case.
Daz Prob the same as the veccy...a pipe either end, push the 2 clips on each pipe in and they will pull off, then slide the filter out of the holder.
jayp1983 just be careful not to break the bits of plastic on the new filter or you will have to be extra careful and get the plastic clips off the old one and put on the new filter, i did this coz i broke it when fitting it.
