shaking problem

from time to time my car seems to shake when idling or at low revs anyone get this problem ? seems to have started since i had the pre cat removed??!! feels like the engine is shaking the whole car like a stalling feeling. Anyone have any ideas?

Nothing to do with the Pre Cat mate, it's probably an engine mount, thats the normal thing that would make your engine move a bit.

its not just the car that shakes its the engine revs go abit bumpy. I read somewhere that it maybe something to the power coil but im not sure

Try to re-set the ecu by disconnecting the car battery for a few hours or overnight & then see how it runs after ....

I have the same problem

Exactly the same problem here...Did the 'battery reset' do any good or is it for sure one of the engine's mounts ?

I really want to fix this too.

ive changed the spark plugs its made it less bumpy think i give the battery thing a try sunday.

Are you sure you havent got a similar prob to me (misfiring 2.2)

im not too sure had cleaned my throttle body not that long ago but i guess i can clean it again. Give that a try then i prob give the coil pack a try.

Exactly the same problem and it has to do with the precat removal because i removed it today and i only got the problem after removing it. Please let me know what cured it, however i will disconnect the battery over night then take it into heavy traffic tomorrow.

I'm sure others have/had this problem so a cure would be very very appreciated.

I disconected the battery last night and took it today for a 100 km drive in town and it only dropped the revs to about 500RPM 3-4 times. Before this, the revs dropped much more frequently.

Still this isn't right and if someone knows a cure i'd really appreciate it.

PS. tomorrow i'm going to test everyting on tech 2 and maybe i can find something there.

The Pre Cat mod won't make your car shake, it's only changes the way your exhaust gas flows, makes if flow alot better 🙂

yea i removed mine the other week and mine dont shake hope you get it sorted what ever it is notsure.gif
