F40/6 Gearbox

Am I right in thinking it would share the same bolt pattern as an F23/5?

My logic is that the F23/5 is fitted to the Z20LET, the Z20LEH is the same block, but has an F40/6, so it must be the same? right? :?

Has anyone compared them both? are the mounts the same?

I just had the thought earlier, might give it a try one day if it seems like it'd all work dunno..

I have been looking for a six speed box for my vx220, there is only one type which will fit, this is due to the starter motor location 🙂

fitted to a zafira 2.2 2006> 8)

the saab 93 2.0 turbo 2004> box should also fit, but I'm unsure about which flywheel you would need notsure.gif

I see, I hadn't thought about starter motors being in a different place :lol:

I take it that'd be the same box you'd need for any Z22SE then, as the block must be the same :?

That's a good idea do you know how the ratio's compare to the 5 speed?

Nick with all you're torque I'm surpriesd you need 6 gears.

I was under the impression that the SRi 150 had a closer ratio Box? notsure.gif I know that the older SRi's were different ratios.

what I meant was the 6 speed box will fit all the z22se engines 🙂

the F23 for the z22se comes in CR and WR, so CR for the sri and WR for the others 🙂
