Just bought a refurbed RA2 off eBay, it has subscription untill ../07/08 and it cost £185 which i think is good! The company who re-sell them do all the transfer details so it should be regesterd in my name. .Now iv`e updated it with the software from www.blackspot.com and all was succesfull. But on using it im constantly getting a message saying "searching for satellites". It does say in the manual that it will take upto 45 mins to pick up the data from the satellites! Would this apply for a re-furbed one too?

iirc when they search for satellites, you need to take a lot of factors into consideration...like weather, interference from other objects etc, so just leave it running and see what happens

i used to have one but sold it as it did my head in.

mine used to take upto 5 mins to search for sattelites but no longer.

This is perfectly normal. As posted above, the weather conditions, low dense cloud, fog and rain will play a part in satelite location. I've just upgraded to Road Angel Navigator and thats exactly the same. Sometimes it takes 5 minutes, sometimes longer and sometimes its instant.
