I'm picking up good vibrations......not

G'day Folks

New to the forum. Found it thanks to a link from Rushy on Vec-C forum

Vibration Problem causing me some concern.
Any kind of a load on the engine causes a vibration through the cabin and steering wheel at any speed. Ruled out wheels as depressing the clutch 'cures' the problem. It happens at any revs but particularly bad at around 3500 which must be resonant frequency of the car. Local dealer checked obvious, engine mountings, exhaust etc and now looking for inspiration. Bembo had a similar prob which was caused by the flywheel. Anyone else have any knowledge of this prob. I'm looking for any info.

does sound like the dual-mass flywheel, a common problem on the vecC

my vecC clutch is awful and the cars only nine months old :evil:

Yep deffo it`s the dual mass flywheel. The 2.2 on the vec suffers the same as the 1.9 cdti.
