Both headllights gone together

Just noticed the other night both headlamp lights not working. Sides, full beam, fogs all fine, but both the main lights have gone within minutes of each other or at the same time.

Are there any relays responsible for controling the lights or shall I just go and get two new bulbs and hope thats it. Two bulbs manufactured within minutes of each other die within minutes of each other.

strange, worth buying a single bulb and see if that works on each side, if it does buy another bulb, if not check fuses and relays dunno..

Well it was actually both bulbs gone together. But I did find something interesting at the motor factors I went into.

Aparently this was a problem for most Astra Gs at the beginning of their lifecycle, when the bonnet is shut with a bit more force than normal it can come down on top of the lights and cause the filaments to break.

Odd one I know.
