Ok so last night i was in the bath while the pc was on downloading. the wife was complaining of a burning smell and so was my son, then she heard a crackling sound coming from my pc so i told her to turn it off.
i get out of the bath and get dressed then go to turn it back on and BANG!!! it was a big bang and a bright flash. by trial and error i found out it was the fuse in the plug and the power supply both blowing.
i have today replaced the power supply and its working again but now i have 2 concerns.
will the power supply blowing caused any other damage?? (pc seems ok at the mo)
there is a fan on the power supply at the back which is very close to the dvd writer, about an inch away. cos its so close would it make the power supply overheat or will it be ok??
