Clutch vibration

Hi, just brought a Y reg Vectra 2.2SRi, 82,000 on the clock (15yr old cavalier just failed it's MOT due to rust)
The vectra has a slight vibration through the clutch pedal during takup. It's only right on the bite point, nothing when pedal is fully up or further depressed. Is this a sign of anything I need to worry about?
Is there anyway on these cars of gauging how much life is left in the clutch? Also can anyone give me an indication of what I would expect to pay for a clutch replacement - I know is is a big job!

(And thanks to everyone here who has put together all the timing chain info, it helped me buy with confidence that my engine wasn't about to explode)

My clutch has a graunching sound on pull off, asked a vauxhall specialist near me and people on here, big bucks just to look at it. Quoted a good few hundred pounds.

I`ve decided that I can live with it until it dies, then get a new-un. 🙁

could be an engine or gearbox mount, not too hard to change 🙂

Am I correct in sayin` there are 3 mounts, 1 on the gear box and 2 for the engine. what..

they usually go soft with age / mileage, if the engine rocks too much then it could be the rear mount, sometimes the front gearbox mount breaks dunno..

Just bought a 2.2CDX and exactly the same symptoms, (to the letter). How much are these, difficulty etc.?
