Family tree (updated)

Folks visited us today and brought up some old photos, quite shocked at how many Vauxhalls weve owned over the years...
As a lad my Dad had about 3 Victors, Brown, white & blue,
My brothers first car was a gold Viva,
My Dad had a bright yellow Fd Capri then got a 2.2 CD Carlton,

My Mum then got the Astra estate and my brother changed the Viva for a Cavalier SR.

Think my brother had a Fd Cortina for a while then went back to Vauxhall with an 8v GTE.

Dad then updated the Carlton.

Mum gave me the Astra estate - first car cheers..
got a Cavalier 1.6

Dad changed the Carlton for a Cavalier 1.7TD CD.
Mum then got a Mk3 Astra.

I changed the estate for my sporty hatch :lol:

Then I up-sized to the mighty Cavalier world....1.7TD & my first alloys showo..

Few pay-rises later I purchase a 1.8 sport Astra.
I forgot my Mum owned this also

Then my Mum got an SXi, with better alloys than me, wasntaving that!!!

Mum & Dad went single car family with a Vectra C

and have recently up-dated to their latest and what they say will be the last, Vectra.

.....and of course I now have the mighty 2.2 😃

Think my brothers in a Seat at the mo, but has a Corsa as a second car.

Blimey, that's an impressive collection of Vauxhalls. That Mk2 Carlton was massive!! Brings back fond memories of the 80's.

My dad had a Mk2 & Mk3 Viva, Mk2 Cavalier and a Mk3 Astra. I've had a Mk1 Astra 1.6SR, Mk3 Cavalier 1.6GL, Mk3 facelift Cavalier 2.0i GLS, Vectra SRi 150, and the wife has had a Corsa 1.2 SXi and now the Zafira 1.8 Elegance.

I think Vauxhalls are great.

I would have loved a Mk1 Astra, still would if I could fund a second weekend car.
Oh, the wife was upset as I didn`t mention her Cinquicento SX :roll:

L-reg 15,000 miles 1 old lady owner, £900 and fault free. I rely on it when my Vectras giving me grief.

Nice family tree you lot have had 🙂. The Vectra C is a great looking motor, love the newer look for them. Your Vectra looks very clean, nice and smart!

I dont get to spend alot of time on it with work and family etc, silver is such a forgiving colour, that clean was with aFlash` car wash gun thingy.

Lot of vauxhalls, that new vectr looks the business. I like the old astra GTE's Digital clocks were cool.

i am also a big fan of the Mk2 Astra GTE, always wanted one when i was a kid but never got round to buying one lol.

my first vauxhall was a three year old astra gte 2.0 8v, quickly followed by an ex demonstrator gte 16v champion - what a car that was, wish I kept it :roll:

my daughter kept kicking the seats [bless her cotton socks 🙂 ] and then the head went porous - so I part ex'd it for a cavalier sri, which quickly got swapped for a gsi2000 :roll:

bit rusty these days, mine was only six months old, so basically brand new - probably best to keep that memory :lol:

wow real family tree. my family the same we had vauxhalls all our driving lifes. think i had golf once but that was yrs ago lol. but sum great cars . do you never wonder what happend to them cars?

There`s somewhere on the DVLA website you can type in a reg no. & it will tell you when the tax is due, or in my old Astra estates case, it was scrapped in 1995. 🙁

It's actually quite frightening how many of those cars I remember your family having.

Remember the drag race of your Astra Estate against (the only F**d I've ever owned) my Sierra? - both fully loaded with passengers, swapping places with each gear-change, engines about to blow just before redline!!
