inside a throttle body

thought I would post a couple of pics of inside the throttle body 🙂

I have removed the potentiometer pcb, wiper arm and plastic housing, the tb is actually from a z1.8, it was the cheapest tb I could find to get a plug for my 68mm TB adaptor wiring loom :roll:

how did you manage to get them apart Neil, thought they were sealed.

they just have the metal cap 'crimped' over the electrics to keep the water out 🙂

a little persuasion with a screwdriver soon had the cap off, I wouldn't want to remove the cap on a good tb though dunno..

I will strip the rest down and post some pics 🙂

this is actually a "don't pull a tb apart because it will never work again" thread :lol:

I took one apart with the idea of having the body rebored

I used a hacksaw on the crimped edge and then a
pair of screw drivers to open the case like a tin of beans (lol)

they come apart quite easily, but putting them back togther is a f'ing pain!

not really a viable option dismantling and then rebuilding the tb 🙁

I took one apart and couldnt get it back togther 🙁

thankfully the black plastic plug came in handy 😃
