well what can I say..........

then there's the vx220 sc .........speechless hail..

Its nice to drive something with a bit of poke, never know when you will need it to get out of trouble.
I know the VX220 are relatively light, combine with more ponies but whats it equate to?
A quick car aint out and out horse power, i realised that years ago.

Eg my previous beast i had whiplash at 40mph in third, thought it was on a bad day, apparently not. Used to enjoy seeing how quick i could pull out and overtake the car in front from 40, pull back three car lengths plus car and a bit extra, usually around 2 to 2.4 secs inc turbo lag 35mph increase showo..

Disintegrated a ceramic clutch one day, had a towing one put in and all the engine would do was instantly spin up in 5th at 85, had to keep backing off blipping the throttle. Had some right fun especially standing starts with the boy racers, the car looked standardish.

power was over 240 bhp or over 275 bhp per tonne :shock:

I've never been in a car which was so glued to the road, amazing all round performance [brakes, suspension, engine]

Actually I'll prob go for stage 3 along with an engine rebuild in a couple of years, as my cars on 53k now.

Wow, id love a supercharger, the whine noise will be great. Im hopefully gunna have a new job soon, perhaps sometime in the future i might be able to do it !!! Does it ruin your reliability, ive heard that turbo charging cars can make them pretty unreliable ??? dunno..

the engine is quite quiet, except for the sc playing it's tune drool.gif

I would probably go for a piper/janspeed exhaust - just for some more noise :lol:

reliability = gm make the sc kit, so 100% reliability 😃

plus fuel economy actually goes up :shock:

to put some context into the first post, I would classify my vx220 as "a very quick car 8) 8) "

If I hadn't amassed so many 'na' tuning goodies then I would import the usa gm kit without a seconds thought after going in Nick's superb vx220 😃

Fuel economy goes up ? Wow !!! Fair enough thats a nice encouragement to SC my car lol I would prefer a SC to a turbo myself. Does anyone elses car have power delivery similar to a turbo ? Mine accelerates well but when you hit 3 k, you seem to feel all the power at once ? (Sorry for the thead hi-jack)

as for the power kicking in at 3k (like a turbo) I know what you mean, it does change with certain mods dunno..

Just got back from a wee holiday so catching up with the tread. Thanks, Vocky glad you likes it the TD wheels and Toyo 888 make a great package.

There will be a low cost S/c out soon about 200bhp which will not require head work (extra head gasket) If you can get a go in one you will be amazed. 😃
