air box help

i have derestricted the air box and just put the vectra c pipe on, now when you boot it say after 3,000 rpm it sounds like an induction kit, is this suppose to do this?

You will get a greater induction noise as you have de-risticted it allowing more air to be pushed in. This is normal with this modification.

Yea like the noise my engine makes at the moment not put the Veccy C pipe on yet going out to get it tomorrow is the pipe hard to do?
I can't wait to get more air into the airbox with this pipe...

is it a c*** to connect the pipe to the 2.2s intake I noticed you need a adaptor pipe or smething is it the positioning that's a pain?

Alan connecting them isnt a issue. What is a problem is getting the old one out and the new one in, i tried with a mate and never managed to do it cos i couldnt be bothered to lossen the rad etc.

I have been told it can be done without doing this though, so i may have another go when i have chance.
