guys in the middle of doing the chains & came across a problem.

my timing is out & what i want to know is if i put both camshafts in the correct position (i.e. ten to two on the number 4 cylinder) & line the chain up with the crank then will this be my timing set up properly.

if not how do i do it.

(oh & i found the yellow chain guide all broken up in with the chain :shock: , but now feeling very lucky :roll: )

yep thats what i was thinking.

what tool do you use to take out the plug to get to the top bolt on the front cam chain guide??????????/ cant get anything to fit it

use a hot air gun and heat the plug, then use a 8 or 10mm hexagen allen key (can't remember size :oops: )

(it's held in place with thread locker glue :roll: )

just got to double check all the timing marks, make sure the engine turns freely, put the covers back on & the rest of the s**T, then choss fingers & turn the key.

funny thing is that i had the tensioner with the notches but the old style oil jet notsure.gif

anyway thats it done.

dont forget to activate the tensioner ...as the atricle in Tv didnt mention it....

to activate tensioner simply use a screwdriver and press the tensioner inwards, it will then unlock and create tension 🙂

the tensioer i got in the box, the inner can come out of it, is this normal????

i take it i just screw it in & push it ??

yes it does fall apart :roll:

so screw in and push, you can unlock it then screw it in dunno..
