Mark_Dj How hard will it be to fit climate control to my Vectra Sri? It's a must be job as I need the wiring harness to get my 2.2 running again but this car I have for spares is a Cdx model with digital climate control. I will have all the parts I need but how hard is it? notsure.gif
vocky you need to fit everything behind the dash, including the heater box, pipes etc and the matching engine ecu + keys a big job, but you already have removed the original parts, so just replace everything with the parts from the cdx :roll:
Mark_Dj Well it looks like I will be swapping Ecu's then. I will take all the cdx parts from behind the dash and put the lot in my Sri 🙂. Cheers
joey Like Neil says you`ve done the hard bit by having the dash out anyway. I think you might need a visit to a dealership to have the new ECU programmed with your SRi chassis # details etc.
Matt_Bankier I have only seen this done once, MWperformance fitted cdx climate control into his GSI, when he fitted a 3.2V6 lump. Heard its a pig of a job, But definitly worth it if you have a doner car 😃
cavaddict Bit of an old post here...but....do you really need to change the ecu to do this? I've got the box and wiring here, but wasn't aware it was an ecu change too. notsure.gif
