Astra cruise control !!

Hello !! I have just fitted cruise control to my vectra exactly as you lot said, and its great!!!
Off z22 topic, my friend has an 03 plate astra bertone cabriolet 1.8 , Does anyone know if cruise control can be fitted to this car ?

it will probably require a tech2 to reprogramme the ecu, it's a 1.8 thing :roll:

oh never ! lol he wont be happy lol whats a tech2 anyway ? Does the ECU need reprogramming for it at vauxhall ? Many thanks, mark notsure.gif

the ecu will need to have a new map installed by a vauxhall dealer, the cruise is not enabled on the 1.8's and needs the cruise map 🙁

so does that mean that all the 2.2 astra's can be fitted with cruise control???

are they the same as the vectra with buying the clutch ect????

most, if not all z22se vectra's are cruise enabled 🙂

I would think that anything with an electronic throttle assembly would be cruise enabled. Just a case of switches etc.

my mate has a 2.2 astra hatch the same as mine and it has cruise control fitted. but his is a 02 plate(mine is 51). i will have to have a look for some switch's plugs ect and compare to his car!!!!

cruise can be fitted, just that on the z1.8 engines it needs a dealer to change the ecu map :roll:
