Flat blade wipers

I went to my local stealership the other day for a set :roll: . I asked them do they stock the flat blade style wiper blade for my 02 Astra? - 'of course' they said.
So off i went pleased in the knowledge that i have bought some nice wipers, but when i got home i soon realised they dont fit! a completely wrong fitment.

I understand a few people on here have the flat blades on their car. Also a friend of mine tells me i need an adapter, does anyone know where i can get it from? - or do i need to get my money back and get some that will fit my Astra (02) . I suspect they have sold me some for the newest shape Astra. :evil:

They will more than likely have sold you a set for a Mk5. The Mk4 ones need an adapter, and I'm not sure if they will stock them seperate or not. I'd get your money back to be honest, and just order a set from LMF

Vauxhall call them retrofit flatblade wipers, parts guy should have realised 02 plate was an astra g though.

yes they are excellent at first i wasnt convinced but after a few months ive decided they are much better, they scrape bugs off much better than conventional blades

ive had um on my vectra for a few weeks(got them from LMF)
think they are a must have, low speed, high speed, bugs, water, you name it
best £20 ive spent on my car this year.

I bought some for my old Coupe, great at first thought they were best wipers in the world, after a few months they started smeering like any other wiper would do :roll: I have them now on my mk5 (fitted as standard) and they are the same, tbh the only difference is that these dont have the metal frame, the actual blade that touches the screen is the same as any other wiper blade!

I've just ordered another set for my Dad's Astra, as he was really impressed with how mine were. I've had mine on since October (I think) and they are just starting to smear slightly. Might get a new set before the winter months.

I got a set from ebay (will post the link when I find it), they are GM dealers who sell stuff on ebay. Anyway, the wipers were about £20 including delivery which is about the same as Halfords charge for regular ones.

I can confirm they are the best I have ever had. They do not lift at speed (not that I've been that fast to test them, AHEM) and always wipe clear, though as mentioned above they are brand new.

My only complaint and it's something I can deal with, is the massive white GM logo on each blade that distracts you whilst driving. I'm going to get a Black permanent marker on that. if that fails I'll paint it.

They do look a little odd from the front, but other than that, absolutely fabulous!

£2.50 ish, Tesco value, fantastic, obviously dont last as long. Had mine for about 8 months, so far still fine (even on these mucky Norfolk roads, so they get a fair usage!).
Pushed the boat out and got two sets showo.. , when the squeek from the cheap sets in Ill replaceem.

it is recommended that wiper blades should be changed every 6 months anyway!

Needed some wipers quick and got some from local noddy shop with air deflectors, cost me £13 late March for mot. Leaving streaks for 5 weeks and a wasted £13. Bosch near on that price!
If i knew i could have got the new blades within two days, i would have had the flat blades £20 delivered.
