Yea for stage 111 I already have a 68 tb on it now and with the mods I want to lift the rev limit to about 7500-8000 rpm. The boost may go up some as the S/c will take more just a smaller pulley required. I will do all the base work and then ask Jon at courtenay's to do the final work and mapping as he is excellent.
Sounds good, 8000 pretty high for a std crank, I think dudes through a rod at 8250 rpm.
You/courtenay planning to get a custom manifold done? As the stock item is pretty restrictive.

Know what you mean about the TB issue I was going to have it but so glad I went for the S/C those figures they are quoting also have I believe a 7500 rev limit (standard engine?)
that a pretty high limit for stock rods, but to be fair alot of people are missing the point of TB's the main reason you fit TB's is that it allows you to run cams with a large over lap without the exhaust gas recirculating into the inlet a low rev.
The other thing with the L850 port design is that it's a very curved design that's designed for good 'tumble' into the cylinders at low engine speeds to give better torque*.
IMO it's a waste fitting TB's to any car that isn't running a ported head and much wilder cams, unless you want it purelyfor the noise.
Plus I'd prob want the fit the Eagal rods running those speeds, for the sake of $300.
*this is that answer I got when I asked the guy's at Lotus why the z22se only made 66 bhp/L, along with it's a simple design with no cam phasing, variable lift, etc.
