Vectra B SRi 150 airbox de-restriction.

Can anyone tell me if I can deristrict my airbox? Ive read threads about it being done to astras, will it make a difference along with the vectra c air pipe that you all talk about ? Also, how do you de-ristrict it, I assume there is a small pipe in the box somewhere that kills airflow ?

take the lid off, in the lid is a reducing funnel - remove and bin it :shock:

that is one of the 'three pipe mod' items 🙂

the other two are not worth doing, it's better to remove all the plastic inlet pipework to the lower airbox section and bin that too, then fit a cold air feed or two - much better showo..

will removing the funnel not damage the engine?

the funnel restricts the air flow :shock:

so removing it helps the engine breath 😃
