Mark_Dj I was offered a swap for my 2.2 Vectra yesterday for a black Gsi on a T reg. I said no  . It was fitted with the newer type front and back bumper but had the old skirts on that I thought went well. 8) I think my 2.2 Vectra would be worth more
vocky the gsi is a nice motor, but always be sure the cambelt has been changed recently. as for value, gsi worth £2.5 ish, sri150 £3k ish - depending on condition dunno..
Ian I nearley bought a gsi when i was first looking about 🙂 Decided against in the end as the 2.2 seemed the best eg fuel economy, insurance etc 8) They are nice motors though..
Matt I still can't believe that both cars are so cheap though. Both are a hell of a lot of car for that sort of money.

Matt Bloody Hell Neil, although my old 106 owed me more for the 18 months I owned it than my Astra will have when it's paid off in 2 years, with 5 years ownership.
vocky my vectra was only 12 months old and I bought it cash from a main dealer, so was just under £10k - it was £17.5k new  I've spent about £5k on the vectra, but most of the parts are now on my vx220 8)
Matt I suppose thats one advantage to getting the VX, and not having to take a loss on the mods. I lost all the money I put into the 106, and the Vauxhall garage who took it as PX on the Astra stuck it on eBay, and made a nice profit on it 🙁
vocky swaping the tuning parts over was the idea from the start 🙂 I managed to keep most of them and my vx220 went from bog standard to one of the most highly tuned vx220's almost overnight
Matt_Bankier Would never swap a mk2 Vec for a mk1 Vec. Would your decission been different if it was a mk2 GSI 🙂
