anyone know if you can get rid of the bar with icons in it that runs down the left side of the screen?? have had a look in the settings but can't find anything.

I have had a N70 for 16 months, and never seen this......

Do you mean the menu?

Thats the only thing i can think of that you can put either into a Grid or into a List mode?

Yes you can mate. I got rid of mine on my girlfriends phone. It's in the display setting I think. If you get stuck let me know and I will have a look at her phone as she is at work at the moment.

Mark, i have my N70 on me now, if you wanna tell me where abouts ill see if i can find it and let him know, but i dont know what it is...lol

EDIT..........AHHHHHHH, i have just had a look, and set something to ON, and it put icons on my phone.

If its what i have just seen, then its Menu, Settings, Phone Setthings, Standby Mode, then select Active Standby to OFF.

If its not that then i dont have a clue...lol 😃
