right guys, i have developed a slight problem with my sounds.
the problem is that i've got intermittent sound loss. Basically when i turn the radio on sometimes there is sound and sometimes there isn't. I've checked that the 2 amps fitted, a MTX thunder 202 and an MTX 4122 (3rd still in for repair.) are getting power when there is no sound and they are, there is power at both the positive and remote terminals. also when there is no sound the power light on both amps light up but very dimly normaly they are very bright.
now i'm no experet but i bought myself a little multi meter to play with from a local market.
i used the earth terminal on the amp and checked the voltage of the remote and positive terminals and both were between 6 and 8 volts on both amps. when i used the seatbelt buckle bolt as an earth i checked the voltage on the terminals again and this time i had 12.2 volts so does that sound like a bad earth or am i barking up the wrong tree?? notsure.gif
