I was talking to a guy in my local car accesory shop about the problems with the sports catt and lambda sensor he was saying that I should connect the second lambda sensor wires to the firsts wires and I'd get a fine reading really the reading that's coming from the first sensor sounds good but there has to be a catch to it somewhere anyone else heard of this or is this wee guy just talking out of his ar** notsure.gif

It might work joining it up with the other sensor. I would try it if my car was playing up

Thanks Mark it's not really that she's playing up it's just the 200 cell sports catt issue...
But you think it should be worth a go mate and I can't see it causing any problems can you? dunno..

I can't see it doing no wrong mate. At the end of the day it's still going to be wired up. I would ask for a little more advice from Vocky as he knows his electrics and stuff 🙂

How what you driving at the moment mate? Yea I love the z22se esspecially now I know the potentiol the engine has to be modified 😃

I have a 2.0 Diesel Vectra just for running around in. I have a 2.2 Vectra Sri on the drive that I am working on (needs an engine harness).

Cool Mark you got big plans for the Veccy my wee Bro has a 1.8 Veccy B Lovely cars would go for the GSi though the MSD one but I think they wheigh too much... 🙁

the** slight** problem with that theory is the first sensor controls the fuel mixture and the second sensor is merely there to see if the cat is working.

there might be an issue with two seperate circuits being joined together.

so 'don't try this at home' folks dunno..

I knew you would know what would be best Vocky. Can the second one be blanked off? I remember messing on with two when I did my Pre Cat mod.

the second lambda can be fitted with a small electrical mod, this tells the ecu all is fine with the cat.
