blowing flexy pipe

hi , i have a 2.2sri vectra b . the flexy pipe between the down pipe and the cat is blowing what do i need to replace .thanks kev

cheapest option is get a new flexi welded in 🙂

otherwise it's a complete downpipe/ flexi / cat 🙁

as vocky said welding in a new flexi would be the cheapest option as a new cat/downpipe/flexi is gonna cost anywhere from £100 upwards. its all in one piece.

Those bloody flexi pipes are a nightmare. I'm on my 3rd and I think that ones buggered too!

agree, i'm on my 3rd and its blowing again!!!

i have put new downpipes on in the past but i think this time i'll just replace the flexi.

yeah i have seen them on ebay plus i'm sure most good exhaust places would sell them.

im on my 6th one now since the charger was fitted.
i need to get some sort of engine brace fitted cos ive had the mounts checked and they are ok.
as johnny said they are a right pain in the arse!!!

You'll have to let us know if you find something to brace the engine. I'm suprised that there aren't some poly bush mounts available yet. There are definately some available for the VX220 but they have a different engine mount setup. Also, the Astra doesn't suffer with engine movement either.

Its that crappy gearbox mount thats the problem!
