OzAstra Anyone there compared the two models? how would you rate the performance, 2.2 engine? seems a bit small for Vectra's heavy chassis which is more suitable for Astra. BTY we do not get little engines in Australia at all, 1.8 is the smallest for Astra here.
vocky I've had both :roll: a gsi 2.5 v6 - very sluggish and front heavy, but a good cruiser 🙂 a 2.2 sri - very nippy around town 🙂 so really depends what you want from a car, around town the 2.2 is miles better, on long runs the v6 is better dunno..
EarlofBarnet I had a V6 Vectra and it was far from slow! It was nippy enough on slower roads, but get it above 60 and you're away! The 2.2 should (in theory) be slower at top end, but nippier low end?
vocky I agree the 2.2 is nippy at lower speeds and the v6 powers away at higher speeds but both are good for what they are...a 4 pot and a V6 😃 I would love a 3.2 V6 six speed vec B saloon drool.gif or a z20let turbo saloon :lol:
EarlofBarnet The sound of a V6 Vectra with a K&N 57i induction kit and Remus centre section sounded unreal! Never heard anything like it!
