Any of you fine people going to Castle Combe this weekend?

It's the Spring Action Day on Saturday (21st April). I'm off up there with VxON - just wondered if any of you were planning on going, and if so, are you taking your car out on the track?

I'll be there with Vauxhall Sports Car Club and i'm planning to get out on a parade lap if there's space. I'm too scared to run it hard around the track.

Well keep your eyes open for my mate Keith who'll be out in his V6 Vectra....

I'll be passenger when he's out at 11:30am and I think he's out again with a load more VxON members at 2:30ish - one of which will be driving a z22se powered black Vectra SRi 8)

I can go one better than that!

My camcorder will be fitted into Keith's Vectra so at some point next week I'll be uploading the in-car footage. I'll post up a link when I've done it 😃

Sweet, if you want some space to host the file, we've got plenty on our server if you want to host it on here?

Cheers Matt. I usually end up using one of the free sites, but it's such a palavar for people to download them what with all the ads etc...

I'll see how large the files are once I've got them on my PC and I'll be in touch 🙂

someone spotted my car then lol. sorry i didnt see many of you. well i only got chance to say hello to steve as he came through the gate. i was bloody busy allday as you may have seen. i was in the marron van and the red/black shed thingy.

Yep, shouted a quick hello to Ben as we left the track! I spotted Johnny's Vectra as it was virtually opposite the VxON stand, but didn't get round to going over and saying hello. I was over on the VVOC stand quite a bit too 'cos a mate of mine bought TracyGSI's Vectra GSI that afternoon, but I didn't see anyone around Johnny's car so couldn't say "ello" 🙁

I took about 150 pics I think!! Not gonna post them up here as most of them are VxON cars, but feel free to check out my photobucket folder here for the best ones 🙂

I've also uploaded some in-car footage from my mate Keith's Vectra V6 SRi......

First session (with me as passenger) - the black Cav Turbo we're following for most of the session has 278bhp so I think Keith did bloody well considering he's down 100bhp on the Cavalier!

Second session (with mate Mike who bought the GSi as passenger) - bit busier this one, couple of loons in Astras that were bloody quick but had absolutely no track etiquette whatsoever.....

Third session (Mike as passenger again so I could get loads of pics from Quarry of the 11 VxON cars that were out in this session). The music is on IN the car, not a soundtrack added by me after 😉 I think it makes Keith drive faster :lol:

Hope they work OK for you, as a couple of people have said they're a bit jumpy (they're fine for me though)..... 🙂

Not that bothered about the travelling mate as it looks good so you can take your car out on the track did I pick that up right mate I'll be trying to get someone to take care of bussines for me and make a holiday out of it what day is it on or is it on all weekend???
Would like to meet up with you guys mibbe go for a couple a pints...

Yeah, you've got the jist of it 🙂

It's £25 for a (approx) 15 minute session - and the action days are always on a Saturday.

This one's gone now (was a couple of weekends ago) but there's another one that most of the Vauxhall owners go to in September. Details are on the Castle Combe website I think - www.castlecombecircuit.co.uk then click the Action Days button 🙂
