Benny saves the day!.....again!

a big thanks to benny for doing my cam chain today 😃 , the car seems to be running much better now and i no longer have to worry about it snapping!
it also cost me a hell of a lot less than vauxhall quoted me and only took just over two hours to do. i would recommend benny to anyone who needs their cam chain doing.

how much did vauxhall quote you? and how much did benny do it for including parts? were both of the chains replaced?

vx usually quote just for the cam chain about; fitting £350 + parts £150, so £500 ish

yeah Vauxhall quoted me something like £650 just for the cam chain doing :lol: .

VX say they replaced both chains on mine, total bill £709 :shock:

If the job CAN be done in a couple of hours, how much do the charge per hour ?????

They have standard times mate (just like we have at volvo (trucks) ) So they will go by that, theres nothing saying there mechanic cant do it in say 3 hrs but they will still charge the full standard time price.

same at my works for jobs.....4hrs in the book and we charge 4..even tho it may be done in 2 hrs..

Book time for a cam chain is 5.5 hours, that's plenty of £££££££ per hour :evil:
