Hello. Recently my engine it was broken the chain by the sight is a failure common in the models of the 2001. But Opel nonpayment nothing. So I had to put motor new, the other was destroyed. Here photos of my new motor:

To that they must these breakage? because as soon as they were explained.

it is a very common problem on the earlier engines :evil:

at least you have the later type engine and it should last 160,000km until a new chain is required 🙂

the 'missing / disconnected' egr is a good thing 🙂

the black cam cover is plastic rather than the original alloy item 🙂

what I do not understand, in general, it is so that an element that in theory must be almost limitless, is had to change. Had not been better a distribution strap?
