EGR Valve problems ..... Again sorry lol

Hi guys , sorry to bring up an old topic ...... but does anyone know of any ecu mapping software i could get hold of to remap the EGR valve out of my ECU. EGR valve bit the dust today with a nice plume of flame and smoke !!!! I just cant bring myself to line the pockets of them robbing bar stewards at my local VX dealers. dunno..

if we did have the ecu software i doubt you would be able to re-map the ECU, try Autovaux for the EGR valve a bit cheaper.

tech2 can sometimes switch off the egr valve, depends on the ecu dunno..

other than that, you will need to replace the valve, they are usually on ebay

I bought one from autovaux who are ALOT cheaper than vauxhall themselves even at trade price! And they are a genuine part from autovaux.

Autovaux all the way had my full mintex extreme 308mm disc and pad kit from the them great deal.. had loads of bit from them for my car and my moms vecy

Hey up again guys , Cheers for the info ..... ended up at the local VX garage for them to flash the ECU ..... guess what !!!! My ECU is not one that can have the EGR disabled !!!! :evil: So have sourced a new valve from an internet site ..... dunno if any of you guys have used em b4 ????

I think its 2002 and before that cant have the ecu unprogrammed for the egr valve, could also be early 2003 ones aswell as ive been down that road hence why I bought one. Also the one I bought didnt have a gasket as they come seperate so make sure you ask for one.

Yer nice one ... VX dealer 60quid madmanc 0 quid !!!!!!! Just got a gasket it was penny's and the EGR cost me £86 next day garunteed delivery .... happy days cheers..
