Let's not be too optimistic, still a lot of work to do on the car (at least sorting oil pressure again + new inlet manifold + new exhaust mani + some wiring loom changes)
And as we just bought a new house in which we are moving in 3 days, not sure I will have much time to work on it this winter.

The next RR day after the March one would be a better bet :lol:

I e-mailed JE the other day to see if they could offer a 86.50mm bore piston made from 4032 alloy for use in our 2.2 - no reply yet, but will start a thread if they come back with anything interesting.

If you're starting to look at custom pistons, I would personally chose CP Pistons over JE, but both are very very good

While we're talking Ecotec pistons here; what options are available for the 2,2 in forged 4032 alloy? (9.5 supercharged CR.)
Not so sure about the Wiseco 2618 material for normal street use.
Thought Diamond had these, but several US suppliers state that these are (now) made from 2618. (2007 Diamond catalog says 4032...)

Other suppliers?

Don't worry, the PM system does work (over 36500 PM's in the system). The PM will sit in your outbox until it is read by the recipient, as that allows you to make changes upto the point they read it.

That's the reason I contacted JE - doesn't seem to be any about and Wiseco Europe wasn't that positive when I contacted them a few weeks ago, so thought I'd try someone else.

Wossner (germany) used to work with 4032 and they already have done some high comp pistons for the z22se

JE does work with 4032, but only for their SRP brand, and normally they don't do custom pistons SRP branded... not sure if they'll do custom 4032

Taking a different approach would it be easier to get custom rods that would allow you to use the LSJ/SAAB/NET 9.5 forged pistons with the z22se crank?

That is not a bad idea. Read about special GM motorsport rods so you could use the LSJ pistons...
Probably the pin height will be different so you need a special rodlength. And pin diam. is bigger.
