I can't see how it would lower combustion temperature, surely it's better to have cold air going into the engine rather than hot exhaust gases, which must raise the intake temperature notsure.gif
The lower Nox at cruising speed is the only plus point, everthing else is negative dunno..
also it depends how you drive, if you drive using full revs the egr will be off anyway.
plus the engine is fitted with a knock sensor, this controls pinking via the ecu and mixture lambda
