LewisR I want to remove and clean the EGR valve but I have a few questions before I actually start removing the valve, According to the service procedure the trouble code must be cleared using TECH2 after egr valve installation. If I do not clear the code is it going to have an effect on the engine? and do I need a new gasket?
vocky just disconnect the battery for 10 minutes, that cleared mine you should be able to re-use the gasket as it's metal
