help !!!!!

Hey peeps I had a 200 cell sports catt fitted around October last year I was told to take it easy for the first 300 miles which I did everything was fine then I put the foot down and the Emisions/ECU light came on I took it to my mechanic who adviced me that the 2nd lamba sensor needed moved along a bit from the catt while I was there to be sure I had her put on the diagnostics all was fine! And told me to take it to the company who done the Exhaust System they told me that they didn't need to relocate the lamba sensor and that they wouldn't do it I've been driving for about 3-4k miles with the light on also :oops: To shorten the post I noticed another post about raising the lamba sensor what should I do take the car to the company that done the Exhaust System and get them to raise it or get my mechanic to move the lamba sensor as he told me raising it would just mask the problem not solve it notsure.gif

might be worth getting your mechanic to sort it dunno..

I seem to remember a thread about this problem before. I've had a problem with my light coming on since having me sport cat fitted. There was a thought that its to do with the gases passing the lamda sensor a lot quicker.

Thanks Johny yea that was exactly what both the the company that made the System for me and my mechanic said that it was that now with 200 cells instead of the O/E 400 cells that the gas was running past the lamba sensor to fast and it wasn't getting a proper reading notsure.gif
Cracked it 😃 (Hopefully) Was talking to a guy on VVOC and he was saying he'd had the same problem and Courtenay do a part called a fudge sensor don't know what it does or how it works but he said he has one on his sports catt and he's had no problems so I'll be calling Courtenay on Monday I'll post up how I get on as if this is a cure to this problem it'll no doubt help a few others including yourself Johny... cheers..
