I had a VX 220 for 4 1/2 years and it used to start first button, every time, regardless of the weather. I now have a 2.2 Direct Signum (2 years old although I've only had it for 5 months) which hs, I think, the same engine as the VX220. Pity it doesn't perform like it !!
I find that very occasionally, say once or twice a month, when I turn the key to start it ~ no throttle ~ it ticks over very rough and either stalls of it's own accord or when I touch the throttle to try to pick it up. I turn the ignition off but the whole thing is completely dead for around 30 seconds or so before it will turn over again. The second attempt is usually, but not always, OK.
Is this something I have to live with or does it sound like a familiar problem to anybody ??????
Thanks in advance.
Graham.
