TC swith help!!!

Hope this post is in the right area

Been using the how to guide to fit a Traction control switch to my coupe and I'm a bit confused as to which pin to put the wire into? 🙁 . The guide says 31 with just traction control or 25 if you also have EPS.
What is EPS? Cos I have Electronic stability Control, is this the same thing? If so and I have to use pin 25 do I just splice into the wire thats already there?

?? u sure mines a 2004 coupe and it don't have ESP just TC 😃 its an optional extra when the car was new

as far as i know esp is standard from that date for opel astra coupe's with a z22se and this is stated by a dutch car review site.

But maybe its just for this country... or maybe they are just wrong lol seems u cant trust any internet source anymore

I fitted the parts and I've just soldered the TC wire onto the red and blue wire coming out of pin 25 as my car has ESP. I put the ASB plug back on started it up and tried the switch and nothing happened, no skiddy car on the dash.

So do I need to take it off and try pin 30?

did you connect the earth wire up?

Yeah earth wire is connected as norm under the bonnett

Thanks for all your help, I've sorted it. 😃 I read further down the bodyshop / general mods section that someone else had the same problem and he used pin 31 so I re-attached the pin on the end of the wire and put it into the ABS plug! SORTED it now works as it should. Well as far as the skiddy car light comes on when I press the TC button, not had chance to give a go out on the road!

Anyway just as a warning. When I used pin 25 and started the car the light kept flashing on for a second and at the same time the speedo was going up and down to about 20 mph then it would go back to normal for a few seconds. So I unplugged the switch from the inside the car and moved the car forward a foot. As it moved I noticed the rear brakes felt like they were on! So I think this pin just confused the ESP into thinking that the car was skidding. :? I tell you it was well wierd. Anyway hope this helps anyone else who may be thinking of doing this.

What is a sure fire way of telling if a coupe has got esp? mines jan 2002 but dont know if its fitted?
