Andy I want to get a video off my camcorder onto my pc. My camera takes mini dv tapes but i don't have a firewire port, is there any other way it can be done?
Matt Buy a firewire card. They are only about £12 brand new. I got mine for a fiver from Sjdickso a couple of months ago.
Matt You can get stuff to convert from an analogue signal to digital onto a PC, I've seen then in Argos, and are about £40, so would be cheaper adn more reliable to get a firewire card. Andy cheers for that, i think i'll have one of them but will have to make sure i got a spare pci slot first lol.
evocarlos does your camcorder not have usb2 ? mine is mini dv tapes but it has firewire and usb-2 plugs
