Rough Idle.

Today my car on idle was rough, driving was fine. I turned the engine off and restarted it and it was fine, any ideas guys?

could be a sticking egr valve, but I wouldn't worry unless it does it more often

Had the EGR replaced last summer!

best to keep an eye on it, if it becomes regular I would start at the cheap option first, replace the plugs

Happened again tonight on the way home from work on a warmed up engine, turned off, restarted and it was fine! Is there a way i can check the EGR valce my self to see if its playing up? Had it replaced last summer at a dealer, dont wanna go back untill i know its faulty.

only thing to do is fit a blanking plate and see if the fault disappears

Are blanking plates DIY? Happened agian tonight at exactly the same time on my way home from work, it seems to be just on idle cos when i floored it it picked up no problem, spinning through 1st and 2nd gear very easly!

Vocky where do you het this plate or did you make it up yourself mate??? Just I am gonna do this mod to my car and what benifits will I see if any?

you can either make a plate or buy it ready made from the dealer 🙂

My idles been playing up abit l8ty....nearly stalling at times.....but i put that down to my TB(where i nicked the butterfly area.)

might be worth a look at the egr dunno..
