Clio 172 mk2 cabelt change Q?

I am getting my normal mechanic to do my GF's cam belt on her 172 in a couple of weeks. He says there isn’t an issue but he has never done a 172 before.

He is capable mechanic but he really specialises in Subaru and also Toyota. Should I be worried at all that he hasn’t done a Clio 172 before?

If he's confident that he can do it, even though he's never done one before, and you trust him....then go for it. However, if he's even the slightest bit dubious, then I'd take it elsewhere.

I have everfy confidence in him, he strips scoobys down day in day out so i can not imagine a clio engine to be any harder, in saying that though i dont know that much about the technical side on engines.

It is my best mates brother who has been working for himself after he got fed up of working for stealers for 20 years.

I'd go for it then Simon, as everyone has to learn on something, and as long as he has some reference to go by, then it shouldn't be a problem.
