Getting it done !

I've just ordered a lot of goodies for my 2.2 coupe and can't wait to get it done.

I'm so excited about getting some new parts into my coupe that i've even made a list 🙂

timing chain kit + some fresh new oil 😉
all the pulleys and tensioners + the alternator belt
new front brake disks and pads
new exhaust & gaskets
new spark plugs

I know it's a pointless post however, I just love my 2.2 and even if it's a bit old i still like to take good care of her.

Will get back with some fresh info after all the work is done and some more.

nice one buddy! Are you doing the chain yourself? I ask because whilst the sprockets are off its only about 20mins extra work to put a pair of fast road cams in and it would be just rude not to!! I have a spare set you can buy and send to piper for regrind if you like. ;-D

I've just got my car out of the shop today and it's brilliant.

New timing chain kit - needed replacement runs great now
Replaced Manifold - Worth every penny!
Changed water pump - i'm sure that can't hurt.
Changed alternator bearings - totally worth it.

The car has over 100K and runs like a brand new one. Surely i'm exagerating a bit. Runs better! 😛

How much for the cams? Also what do piper charge?

piper charge £235 inc vat to regrind the pair 🙂
