but what exactly is included in the Timing Chain Kit?

You get these parts in the chain kit m8

you get the chain, cam sprockets, crank sprocket, tensioner, oil jet, chain guides and new bolts

all can be seen in the above pic 🙂

I've just ordered exactly what you've described above however, do i need to order any gaskets when changing the kit ?

yes you'll need 2

rocker cover gasket 12584084 £18.10 + vat
Timing cover gasket - 24435052 £7.40 + vat

also crank shaft oil seal but its optional

Crank Shaft oil Seal 90571925 £11.40 + vat

Is the timing chain kit really ~ £90.0 + vat??

I live in Monterrey Mexico, very far from the UK, and only the timing chain is ~ £57.00, each camshaft gear is about £100.00 , the tension rail is about £38.00 all including taxes, and if I keep adding all from the kit it makes a huge difference. I wonder if it would be possible to order the kit from the UK and have it shipped to Mexico.

the parts seperate are expensive in the UK too, try ordering the kit number 12577385

you should be able to get it shipped, but you need to ask the cost first

Just added those to the order list.

I'm ordering the KIT by parts from Germany since i live in eastern europe.

Opel told me the kit would cost 363 GBP (if ordered by parts) without fitting and I've got a friend with an Opel Parts shop that can order everything from GM at around 300 Euros (including the gaskets mentioned by Andy).

I'm not sure what you mean by 'both chains'. I plan to change everything that has to do with the chain distribution.

well there is 2 chains, the timing chain and the balance shaft chain.

only the timing chain is necessary, the balance shaft chain is optional as it very rarely breaks.
